Basic Obedience & Playtime for Pups
Our Basic Obedience group classes are for dogs 4 months and older. This is a great time to train your new dog. At this age their minds are like little sponges and they are ready to learn. Of course at this age they have not yet developed a lot of bad habits. The program is also great for an older dog. In fact we have trained dogs as old as nine years with fantastic results. We work on all the basic exercises as well as solve all those troublesome behavior problems. The exercises include:
- Heel – so they don’t drag you around
- Sit
- Down
- Stand
- Sit Stay
- Down Stay
- Stand Stay
- Recall – so they come when you call them
- Do your business – Yes, on command!
What To Expect from Puppy Training
This class will offer structured meet and greet playtime for pups, as well as some basic obedience. We teach proper dog-dog interactions, and we also cover basic House-Training, Nipping, Barking, Chewing, and Jumping up, all while teaching the pup how to socialize and not bite! Be prepared to do homework with your pet! The first 30 minutes of all classes are for training, the second 30 minutes of class is structured playtime which anyone can participate in.
